Glass
"Glass is the purest form of building material made from earthly matter"
- Walter Gropius, German architect and founder of the Bauhaus School
Architectural glass can inspire and transform a space and the people who inhabit it by breathing life from the natural environment into the deepest recesses of a building's interior, intrinsically linking the exterior natural environment with the interior built space.
Glass is a non-toxic substance composed of sand, soda ash and lime that minimally impacts the environment while simultaneously imparting a major aesthetic allure. The benefits of glass extend beyond appearances and material qualities by contributing to personal comfort, well-being, and productivity, in addition to saving energy costs.
Skyline's fascination with the glass medium began when founder Charles Rizzo discovered decorative art glass from English glass artist Robert Pine in 1985. Our design and manufacturing efforts have since focused on creating safe, sustainable, and elegant glass and architectural products that positively relate people with their surroundings.
Skyline architectural art glass is available in a variety of styles and finishes, with custom design services available. Visit our collection pages to see and learn about our many pattern designs and production techniques. Contact us to learn how to incorporate glass into your next project.
