Alexander Girard Collection

Ribbons

Ribbons demonstrates Alexander Girard’s use of tissue collages to study the overlap of color and play between opaque and transparent. Reminiscent of the many uses of ribbons in folk traditions, the pattern conveys a sense of merriment. Ribbons is available on glass in transparent, translucent and opaque techniques.
